The windows of my soul
I've been down at the local antique dealer's to get a few pointers on where to get some of my valuables appraised. But you know, when in Rome & bladiblah... Well, uhm...I couldn't resist the faint callings of a beautiful swivel mirror with little drawers standing on top of one of the tables. Ca. veeery late 1800s & would go perfectly on my dresser from the same era...mmm! So, I tippy-toed out of that place, with phone numbers in one hand, the other firmly placed around the mirror & a huge grin on my face.
Took this shitty pic with my shitty phone at 3AM, gonna take a better one in the morning.
Had a glance back through the window though...& whispered softly to the oil lamp flickering like an alluring sprite on midsummer night's eve: "I bid you adieu for now, my love. But we will reunite." The lamp's from the same era... Sometimes I wonder if my eyes are somewhat programmed to locate 1800s items. Or maybe it's embedded in my soul from a time when I was whole...& all I do is collect little droplets of ambience? Anyway, here's a string of more wants & yearns:
A beautiful swivel brooch which I fancy a lot!
This is a bit over the top, but I love the details of it...
I absolutely adore Cheval mirrors, hope I'll get one to adorn my bedroom. Mmmagical!
